The Information Center appears in the Kittanning Paper on Page 2 daily and are featured daily on WTYM AM 1380 radio. It promotes events held by non-profit organizations only. Notices are run as “space available” each day, unless an ad is purchased to guarantee placement. If you would like to place an ad, call the KP office at 724-543-NEWS (6397).

GAME DAY AT THE KITTANNING LIBRARY Every Tuesday 3-5 pm. For kids 12 yrs and up. Perfect to teens and tweens. Come and enjoy our wide range of board games and electronic-less entertainment. Invite some friends and bring your own games too!

GRAND OPENING of the MakerSpace “Discovery Zone” at the Divine Redeemer School, Friday, March 24th at 5PM. The school is located at 726 4th Avenue in Ford City.   Come see students working in the space on projects with Robotics, Engineering, 3D pens and Computer Coding.   There will be food and refreshments for purchase from 5 – 7 P.M.

TRIVIA CHALLENGE Sunday, March 26, 2017 for a Trivia Challenge at the Shelocta Presbyterian Church located at 182 S. Ridge Rd., Shelocta. Bring a team from your church (8 people per team) or you can join a team there.  Cost is $10 per person.  From 4:00pm to 6:00pm.   There will be light refreshments and Door prizes!! ARMSTRONG FESTIVAL CHOIR will begin rehearsals for the 2017 season on Friday, March 31 at 7PM in Ford Memorial United Methodist Church, 1024 Fourth Ave., Ford City.  Rehearsals will continue on Friday evenings through early July with the exception of April 14, due to the Good Friday observance. Any teenager or adult in the Armstrong county or surrounding areas who enjoys singing is encouraged to attend. The choir sings at various events including Armstrong County Firemen’s Annual
Memorial Service,  Memorial Day Eve services and Ford City Summerfest. A wide variety of music is performed. For more information call 724-763-3236.

“BASIC BEEKEEPING CLASS”  Saturday, April 1 from 9AM-3PM at the Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center, 142 Kerr Road, Ford City. Sponsored by BeeKeepers of A.B.C.I. SUNDAY EVENING IN APOLLO  The Apollo Area Historical Society invites the community to attend our April 2017 Sunday Evening Series “Apollo Potpourri” on Sunday, April 2, at 6:30 PM  at the W.C.T.U. Building/Apollo Museum on N. 2nd. Street, Apollo.  Brady Crytzer will feature his newest book, “War in the Peaceable Kingdom” about the 1756 Kittanning raid.  The program is free, but any donations are always welcome.  Refreshments will follow.
