RUMMAGE SALE Junk to Joy, a two-day rummage sale to support church youth mission trips will be held June 29 and 30 in Saxonburg. The event will be in Centennial Hall, 110 State St., at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. It will run from 7 am to 3 pm on both days, rain or shine. Donations are being accepted (no electronics, TVs or computers please). Tables can also be set up and used for a donation of $10 over both days.  The hall is air conditioned. PARKINSON’S SUPPORT GROUP will meet Thursday, July 21 at 1 PM at the Richard G. Snyder YMCA, 1150 N. Water Street, Kittanning. This Support Group meets monthly on the third Thursday of every month. Meetings are open to all Parkinson’s patients, care partners, family members and friends. No pre-registration is required. This month, Laura Teschke, a physical therapist at HealthSouth Harmarville, will present a demonstration class on PWR!Moves, a wellness program for people with Parkinson’s Disease. The presentation will give background on the program with exercises in seated and standing positions, and will also focus on the importance of cognition and multi-tasking exercises. Laura is known to be professional, fun and energetic. The demonstration will be from 1 PM until 2PM with time for discussion and questions from 2 PM until 2:30 PM. ED’S WALK FOR A CURE Memorial Walk for Ed Morris will be on August 11th at the West Kittanning Fire Hall. Registration begins at 9am. All proceeds will be donated to the American Diabetes Association. There will be food, music, raffle baskets, 50/50s, and games.
