Local Law Enforcers Give Nod for Murphy
Armstrong County’s top law enforcement officials are backing Iraq war veteran and former prosecutor Patrick Murphy for Pennsylvania Attorney General. District Attorney Scott J. Andreassi and Sheriff Larry R. Crawford both endorsed Murphy, citing his experience as a military and federal prosecutor, and his strong record of
supporting law enforcement.
“An Iraq war veteran who has prosecuted terrorists overseas and put dangerous criminals behind bars here at home, Patrick Murphy is a dedicated public servant who has been tested under the most difficult circumstances. Patrick is a proven leader
with the experience and determination to keep our families safe. I know that he
will be the partner we need in the Attorney General’s office and I look forward
to working with him to fight crime here in Armstrong County,” Andreassi said.
“Patrick’s father served as a police officer for 22 years. He has cousins and uncles who
have served. He’s a friend to law enforcement and understands the needs of the
men and women who protect our streets. We can trust Patrick to fight for us and
help us get the tools we need to do our jobs. I’m proud to support him for
Attorney General and I’m looking forward to partnering with him to protect
Armstrong County families,” Crawford said.
“As the Commonwealth’s top law enforcement official, the Attorney General must be a true partner with local law enforcement officials to ensure that we meet the
unique challenges faced by each community. I’m honored to earn the support of
District Attorney Andreassi and Sheriff Crawford and promise that I will stop
at nothing to support their efforts here in Armstrong County. Together, we will
make sure that our families are safe and our streets are secure,” Murphy said.
These endorsements add to the strong support Murphy has with law enforcement
officials across Pennsylvania, including the Commonwealth’s largest Fraternal
Order of Police and Allegheny County Sheriff Bill Mullen.
