RIZZO: Pryor on the Naughty List

by Michael Rizzo

Somewhere someone might find a Terrelle Pryor Big Ten Championship Ring under their tree tomorrow. As you probably know a few of Ohio State’s star players were given a 2011 suspension for selling some of their football items. Of course they’re the rare unlucky ones who the NCAA actually caught. I’m certainly not in the camp, who believes college athletes should be paid. It seems like gift receiving and rule breaking behavior is on the rise. I suggest if you want it turned around start suspending and fine, the millionaire coaches, AD’s and universities presidents. Have a third party organization, equally oversee all programs. The NCAA policing the NCAA is like the NFL doing steroid testing. Anyway I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

RIZZO: Steelers or Kittanning vs. FC?

by Michael Rizzo

I’ve been to the last three Kittanning vs. Ford City boys basketball games, and while they’ve had larger than normal crowds, they weren’t packed. Kittanning is off to their best start in years and there is no school tomorrow. No work for most people too. This should be a really exciting game. Kittanning has a star player in Nathan Stoliza making headlines, and I can’t wait to see what defense the Sabers deploy. It would be sad if it wasn’t an overflow crowd. A lot of people remember when every game was packed, especially at Ford City. Everything is in place for this to be one of the best local games we’ve seen in years. The stage is set, the storylines are there, but the competing Steelers’ game will likely mean a sparse crowd.
