ARIN Intermediate Unit to Discontinue Fingerprinting Service in Indiana

Closest Service Locations Will Be Punxsutawney or Kittanning

[Indiana, PA, December 10, 2019]  Individuals who are required to have fingerprinting for criminal background checks are advised that December 18, 2019 is the last day that fingerprinting services will be offered at ARIN Intermediate Unit.  Individuals who need to schedule fingerprinting before that time should visit to make an appointment as soon as possible, as no further appointments will be scheduled once the available openings are filled.

ARIN Intermediate Unit has offered the fingerprinting service to the community and particularly to area educators for more than 10 years.  Fingerprinting for the purpose of criminal background checks is a requirement for those in the education field and many other fields that involve contact with children. Unfortunately, providing the service in recent years has become cumbersome and not cost effective.

Individuals may visit in order to find other locations after December 18.  Other locations in our area are in Kittanning and Punxsutawney. There will no longer be a location in Indiana.  However, it is anticipated that there will be in the future.

ARIN IU 28 provides innovative educational programs, training and support services through partnerships and visionary leadership in Armstrong and Indiana Counties.
