Deer hunting on selected Sundays is now legal in Pennsylvania, under legislation signed into law by
Gov Tom Wolf.
In signing the bill this past week, Gov. Tom Wolf said he hopes it will give younger people who can’t always hunt on weekdays more opportunities to participate. Wolf says it’s also a good way to help control the deer population. The new law, which takes effect next year, allows hunting on three Sundays – – – one during rifle deer season, one during archery deer season, and the third Sunday to be selected by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
