The moon was clearly seen in the sky above Kittanning last night amid clouds that threaten to bring showers and morning storms to Armstrong County. The moon, according to the calendar, was 92% visible last night. It will reach its full moon stage between August 14-16, 2016.
According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac (a daily feature on WTYM AM 1380 and FM 103.7), the time just before the full moon is considered particularly wet. The National Weather Service says it will be wet today. Hmmm – perhaps they read the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
