A Lutheran church will host two organ concerts as part of its 150th anniversary year on July 11 during the Mingle on Main event in Saxonburg.
The public concerts will be conducted at 6 pm and 7 pm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, located at Main and State streets in Saxonburg. Organist Ellen Dodge will play musical selections from J.S. Bach to Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The two-manual Moller pipe organ was dedicated in April 1929. The organ was funded by Ferdinand Roebling in memory of his father, John Roebling. The historic organ, rebuilt in 1977, has pipes measuring in length from three inches to 16 feet.
