Fun Day Planned on Armstrong Trail

The Nautical Mile Campground will host activities of the 8th Annual Armstrong Trail Fun Day on Saturday, June 1.

Saturday, June 1, is the 8th Annual Armstrong Trail Fun Day hosted by the Armstrong Rails to Trails Association (ARTA) and the Allegheny Valley Land Trust (AVLT) from 9AM until 3PM.

This fundraising bike-hike-run event coincides with National Trail Day! The Event is rain or shine, participants can begin their morning adventure at various points along the Armstrong Trail including Kittanning, Nautical Mile Campground & Marina, East Brady, Phillipston or any of our designated Trail Heads.  There is limited seating. Register before May 20.

Enjoy the Armstrong Rails to Trails experience for a day of activities on June 1. 

Event activities will be set up at the Nautical Mile Campground & Marina at: 530 Stone Avenue in Templeton, PA 16259:

• Coffee, tea and hot chocolate (free) available starting at 9AM
• Music and games all day including corn hole tossing and horse shoes
• Check-in for lunch from 11:30-1:30 with various activities planned during lunch:
• Basket Auction
• 50/50 and door prize drawing at 1:45

Join other trail enthusiasts and support the trial association while having fun! Registration fee is $30 per adult, children age 6-16 are $20 with kids under 5 are free. Registered participants will receive an Event T-shirt and catered lunch by Garda’s of Ford City. Overnight camping is available.

All proceeds from this event go to Armstrong Rails to Trails Association (ARTA) for trail maintenance and improvements.
