Weather-Related Crash Kills Brady’s Bend Driver

A Brady’s Bend Township man was killed just before midnight on Wednesday into Thursday.

Kevin James Bowser, 27, was fatally injured while traveling north in his 2008 Jeep Patriot on Seybertown Road in Brady’s Bend Township at a safe rate of speed for the snow and icy roads.

Bowser lost control and the vehicle left the roadway traveling approximately 110 feet, striking the guide rail, went airborne and struck a tree where the vehicle came to a rest.

Bowser was pronounced dead at the scene by Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers.  According to State Police Investigator Nickolas Elliott, Bowser was not wearing a seatbelt.

Myers ruled the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to head and the manner of death was accidental.  Toxicology results will not be available for several weeks.

The Coroner’s office and Pennsylvania State Police Kittanning were assisted by the East Brady Fire Department and East Brady Ambulance.

Myers said the Hile Funeral Home in Karns City will be handling the funeral arrangements.
