The Indiana Regional Medical Center and the Indiana Registered Nurses
Association met for approximately six hours in a bargaining session on Thursday evening, following meeting for several hours on Tuesday.
According to hospital spokesman Mark Richards, IRMC extended a proposal for a three year contract with wage increases in each year of the contract with a total wage increase of 6% over the contract duration. IRMC also reduced the proposed employee contributions for healthcare cost in the third year of the contract.
While the parties did not reach any agreements, Richards said they did make progress on some contract language provisions. The parties are scheduled to meet again on December 20 and IRMC also proposed several dates for continued negotiations in January.
