Church Votes to Sell Property to Drug/Alcohol Commission

The congregation of the First Church of God voted last night to sell their Woodward Avenue facility to the Armstrong Indiana Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission. Pastor Nick Wilson declined to comment, other than it was “overwhelmingly passed” by the church membership. The vote was taken on the eve of the anniversary of the church laying the cornerstone for their Woodward Avenue sanctuary on this date in 1948. (see Historical Headlines, page 4)
