Local Man Apprehended by State Police

The search for a Kittanning man accused of Aggravated Assault on Ridge Road in Boggs Township on July 9 is over.

Police apprehended 35-year-old Edward D. Wilson on Sunday, July 15.

He allegedly was involved in a physical altercation with an unidentified 34-year-old man from Ford City. During the incident, Wilson stabbed the victim several times in the abdomen and neck area. The victim was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Charges have been filed through the office of District Magisterial Judge James Owen.

Wilson has been placed in the Armstrong County Jail.
