Local IUP Intern Wrecks in Plumcreek

Although receiving bumps and bruises, Kyle Predmore was not seriously injured in Monday’s mishap on Route 422 east.

An IUP student escaped serious injury during an accident on Route 422 on Monday.

Kyle Predmore, 27, of Bridgeville was traveling westbound just past Runaround Road in Plumcreek Township, when he attempted to pass a truck. The truck began changing lanes, coming over into Predmore’s lane of travel. Predmore swerved to avoid collision and traveled into the eastbound lane and swerved again to avoid collision with an oncoming vehicle. His 2010 Ford Taurus hit the embankment, traveling for about 20 yards before flipping onto its roof. It then slid for another 20 yards while spinning counter clockwise, coming to rest in the westbound passing lane.

State Police Trooper Jacob Beers said Predmore will be charged with Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

He was treated at the ACMH Hospital Emergency Room and released.

Predmore is doing an internship at the Kittanning Paper this summer.
