Judas Goes on Trial Tonight During Lenten Drama

The Reverend Walter Marr from Elderton will play a judge in a trial that examines the actions of Judas Iscariot, tonight at 7PM at Family-Life Church.

The Kittanning Ministerial Association (KMA) will begin their series of Lenten community worship services tonight at 7PM at Family-Life Church.

The services are held each Tuesday night at different church in the community with a different guest speaker from another church of the Ministerium.

The Reverend Walter Marr from Elderton will be the guest speaker. Marr is known throughout the area for his portrayal of various historical and fictional characters including a Roman centurion, Pontius Pilate, Abraham Lincoln, a train conductor, and others. Tonight, he will play a judge in a trial that examines the actions of Judas Iscariot. The parts of the disciples – Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John – will be played by other ministers in the community.

Pastor Ed Walters will play the part of the court Baliff.

The public is welcome to attend. Light refreshments will follow.

In addition, the Ministerium is sponsoring weekly Lenten Lunch on Wednesdays at Noon at the Grace Presbyterian Church. A meal is provided by various churches each week and there is a sermonette.

On Good Friday, March 30, there will be a worship service at Noon at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kittanning. The speaker will be Vicar Matthew Vatalare of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
