Teen Escapes Injury in Crash

BRADY’S BEND – An unidentified 16-year-old female escaped injury following a crash on December 28. The girl was traveling west on Route 68 in Brady’s Bend. She lost control while negotiating a left-hand curve on the icy roadway and crossed the center line in an out-of-control spin. She struck the guide rails several times. Her 2007 Honda Accord sustained heavy front end damage to its bumper, hood, headlights, and damage to the right rear taillight, rear bumper, and left rear door. State Police Trooper Joshua Keele said she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries at the scene. The teen will receive a citation for violations of the vehicle code through District Magisterial Judge James Owen. The car was unable to be driven and was towned from the scene by Seybert’s Towing. State Police were assisted at the scene by East Brady Fire Department and Sugarcreek Ambulance.
