Jail Inmate Being Bad Boy

RAYBURN – Armstrong County Jail did not release the name of the inmate who struck a 24-year-old corrections officer in the face and attempted to poke him in the eye on November 17. Then on November 25, he refused to hand the corrections officer his meal tray. After multiple commands to give up the tray, the Corrections Officer attempted to take the tray from the inmate. The inmate then bit the corrections officer on the left hand. Charges are being filed.

I wouldn’t want to see violence in jail. But, no cable? Ok. No weight lifting? Ok. No poker games? Ok. Locked in the cell 23 hours out of 24? Ok. No commisarry? Ok. No work release? Ok. We coddle criminals way too much. None of these clowns are getting rehabilitated in the country club jail. It is a revolving door. Ask Mr. Bove that the part time DA 10-2 Scottie let off easy for manslaughter.

Where’s JJ? Lets see how a real criminal feels about this? Well JJ, should a prisoner be abused in custody? Especially if they flee?

What the heck are bennies, a new r-wing slang for benefits? The guards/local police/state police/national guardsmen are not helpless they have weapons. Glad to know more intelligent policies are in place! Who are you anyway Attila The Hun? lol

The guards/local police/state police/national guardsmen USED to have a good paying job with bennies.
Today, no amount of money or bennies is worth having to go out amongst the wackos with your hands tied behind you. There is ALWAYS a blood sucking out of work lawyer just itching for one of the police to make a mistake. As I said, the inmate would get bread/water or nothing for a few days. Perty simple stuff.

“Instead of that prisoner “falling down the steps” to learn his place,” Come-On Sick you advocate human abuse? I’m sure that abuse is common among Pubs, just ask Roy Moore!

Liberals should not have anything to say about this. This is the direct result of years and years of bleeding heart groups intervening on every single facet of our society. This would be fixed in two seconds if those guards were not deathly afraid of being sued, fired etc…. Instead, they are targets with no teeth, again, for fear of reprimand. Nice work libs…… Instead of that prisoner “falling down the steps” to learn his place, and understand he is not in jail for singing too loud in church, the guard is getting a tetanus shot and medical attention, and probably being reviewed for procedural compliance.

Wman, oh no, you can`t publish the names of these people but get behind on paying your property taxes and the county pays for half of an issue of the LT to shame people! But the inmates have rights!!

I wonder what ever happened to the police and corrections office releasing the names of wrong doers? There was a lot to be said about public shame curbing people’s behavior. Now most of the stories you read are full of the statement that they refused to name the suspect.

  9. mark says:

BUT, I forgot to ask, did the guard say “pretty please” first?! If not, prisoner`s lawyer will have a field day!

Simple. Don`t feed him anymore. Duh! It a JAIL, not the Villa. Maybe the jail “customer” needs a little “tune-up”… he he he…

What kind of headline is this? Hard to take this paper seriously with headlines like this. Do better.
