Coroner Says Parks Township Couple Was Killed by Bullets

PARKS – The Armstrong County Coroner has determined a Parks Township couple was killed by gunshot wounds following an autopsy yesterday.

Pennsylvania State Police are trying to piece together what happened, ending in the death of Dawayne Klingensmith, 29 and Heather Swiklinski, 22, both of North Vandergrift in Parks Township.

The pair was found dead in their residence on West 5th Street on Monday afternoon, November 13. Swiklinski’s 17-month-old child was found in a crib unharmed. The child was placed with relatives.

Both subjects were pronounced dead at the scene by Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers.

The incident is still under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police. Police have reason to believe there were more than one shooter, and those actors are still at large.
