Post production is wrapping up for the locally filmed and produced movie A Wish for Giants.
Based on the novel “A Wish for Giants” by Kittanning author Aaron Dunbar, the story is about a tenacious wish volunteer who meets her kindred spirit in a young girl with a life-threatening medical condition and a very unique wish–to find Bigfoot.
Directed by award winning film maker Don Swanson of Spruce Films, the movie is a solid production that will appeal to all ages.
The premiere will be February 17, 2018 at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in Indiana, PA. Advance tickets can now be ordered online at awishforgiants.com or at the box office the day of the show.
“It was just a little over a year ago we gathered 89 local elementary school-aged children as extras at the old Kittanning twp. elementary school playground for our first shoot,” Dunbar said. “June 3rd at about 2am was our final day of filming,” Dunbar added.
Sales from the original novel continue to benefit Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia as will ticket sales for the movie.
After the premiere, the film will be shown in theaters and schools throughout western Pennsylvania and also West
Virginia where a portion of ticket sales will continue to benefit Make-A-Wish®
“Everyone who worked so hard on this project has a right to be proud and I think I can speak for all of us when I say we look forward to seeing the public’s reaction!” Dunbar said.
Nationally known Bigfoot and UFO researcher Stan Gordon has a cameo in the film and will be on hand the day of the premiere to meet fans.
