Press Box Installed in New Stadium

Cranes lifted the press box yesterday to sit atop the bleachers at the new Armstrong High School Football Stadium.

MANOR – The new press box was lifted as one complete unit by a crane yesterday, according to Stadium Solutions carpenter Tim Ebig.

“The crane came, we set the crane up, and swung the press box into place.”

The Cabot-based company erected bleacher seating for 3,030 persons, including 26 handicapped seats with 26 companion seats. There is no VIP seating.

The bleachers are installed on only one side of the stadium, putting visitors and Armstrong supporters together rather than on opposite sides of the field, as was the case in the Kittanning and Ford City field.

Ebig said that Phase 2 will include a concession stand that will be built.
