Filming for the locally produced movie “A Wish for Giants” is winding down with June 3rd as the final scheduled shoot date.

For those who haven’t heard, the movie is an endearing tale of a young girl named Roxie Madison diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Roxie’s doctor refers her to a Wish granting organization but no one is prepared for her wish–to actually FIND Bigfoot. As the story unfolds a fearlessly passionate child advocate and volunteer for the organization, Sophie Bracone, takes the challenge head on. Soon, Sophie realizes she’s embarked on a mission that science itself hasn’t been able to achieve but her love for Roxie drives her far beyond what she ever thought was possible.

“It’s been a long and sometimes challenging road but in the end, we’ll have a solid film we can all be proud of,” said Aaron Dunbar, who wrote the original novel “A Wish for Giants”.

Dunbar, who started out as an indie author, travels to author events as well as Bigfoot and UFO conventions to promote the movie, signing copies of his books and selling tee shirts.

“I’m blessed for the cast and crew we have” he said.
