The Vegas Shoot is the first round, or ‘leg’ of the 17th annual 3 Star Tour with the next leg being the Cincinnati Nationals, and then the Dakota Classic.

Around 3,500 archers from around the country and globe swarmed the South Pointe Casino in Las Vegas to compete in the Vegas Shoot.

Both Colton and Carter competed in the youngest age group, the 12 and under group which included about 35 other competitors.

Carter, 8 finished 15th and his brother Colton finished second. Colton ended the day hitting 46/60 bulls-eyes and shot 586/300 combined in two rounds.

Colton’s performance was one good enough not only for a silver medal, but also for a big $750 scholarship check from the Easton Foundation.

Both Colton and Carter are looking forward to competing in several other national tournaments, as well as other state and local indoor tournaments this year, with plans for outdoor tournaments throughout the season.
