Frances L. Galbraith, 76, of New Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at her home.
She was born June 18, 1939 in Wayne Township to William Robert and Amanda Catherine (Rupp) Galbraith.
Frances was a lifetime resident of Wayne Township and graduated from Dayton High School in 1957. She worked as a secretary for many companies, including Continental Clay, Harbinson Walker and Glen Gery Corporation. In 1990, Frances began working as a secretary at Asbury Graphite for 11 years until retiring in 2001.
She attended Belknap United Church of Christ and her favorite hobbies were gardening and baking.
Her memory will be cherished by her two brothers: Raymond P. Galbraith and wife, Barbara, of Rural Valley, and Daryl L. Galbraith and wife, Nancy, of Summerville; sister-in-law, Jane Galbraith, of New Bethlehem; 16 nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Leonard Reed Galbraith and William R. Galbraith, Jr.; two sisters: Judy Hudek and Avonelle Schultz; and two nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow – Saturday, October 3, 2015 – at Bauer Funeral Home in Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be from 1PM until the time of funeral services at 2PM on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the funeral home, with Pastor Brenda Aughenbaugh officiating.
Burial will be in Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in New Bethlehem.
