Virginia Dale Bargerstock, 90, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Armstrong County Health Center.
She was born July 4, 1922 in Kittanning, to William and Margaret Nell (Lemmon) Wingard.
Virginia was a lifetime resident of Kittanning and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1940.
For 27 years, she cared for the patients at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s aide, retiring in 1989.
Virginia was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and also was active in the Women’s Association at the church.
Virginia enjoyed writing letters and corresponding with her friends and family. She had many pen-pals in lots of states and she often made her own stationary for her special letters.
Virginia’s little dogs were very special to her. She had many over the years and they were her constant loving companions.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Scott R. Bargerstock and wife, Shawn, of Upper St. Clair; daughter, Cynda Lou Eastham and husband, Ervin, of Owasso, OK; grandson, Nickolas Boatman, of Owasso, OK; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan Alexandria Boatman and Jet Matthew Boatman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 62 years, Herman R. Bargerstock, who passed away October 31, 2003.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. in Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM Monday, February 4, 2013 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dana Wilmot officiating.
Burial will be in Whitesburg Presbyterian Cemetery in Kittanning.
