Armstrong Educational Trust Welcomes New Board Member

The Armstrong Educational Trust Board of Directors welcomes its newest member earlier this month – Dr. Matthew Curci.
Dr. Matthew Curci currently serves as the Superintendent of the Apollo-Ridge School District. He and his wife Kristin reside in Indiana, Pa. with children Nick and Anna.
A 1992 graduate of Apollo-Ridge High School, Curci went on to attend Grove City College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics.
Blessed with the opportunity to return to his home district, he taught high school mathematics and coached basketball, football, and track at Apollo-Ridge for ten years before moving into administration. Curci had served 2.5 years as principal at Apollo-Ridge Elementary School and 2.5 years as Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment before adding the title of Assistant Superintendent prior to the 2011-2012 school year.
July 1, 2012 marked the first date of his tenure as Superintendent at Apollo-Ridge School District.
In addition to his undergraduate degree, he also holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Science and a Doctor of Education Degree in Administration and Leadership Studies, both earned at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
