While there were no apparent signs of foul play, Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death of a Manor Township man. On August 30 at 10:00pm, paramedics were called to the residence of 34 year old James Gribble Jr. They determined Gribble was deceased and the coroner and state police were contacted. Gribble was scheduled for an autopsy at Carlow College. The autopsy results are pending toxicology. During the course of investigating, police discovered a marijuana growing operation inside the Gribble home. A search warrant was obtained and 17 marijuana plants were found in a closet that was equipped with lights, foil covered walls and ventilation. According to authorities, various amounts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found throughout the residence. An investigation continues. Police were assisted by Kittanning ambulance, and the Amstrong County offices of coroner, sheriff and the district attorney.
