VA Butler Welcomes New Associate Director

Rebecca Hubscher, MSW, MBA was appointed VA Butler Healthcare’s new¬† Associate Director for Operations effective June 3.

Hubscher came to Butler from the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) where she served as the Vice President of Community Based Care since March

“I am thrilled about this new opportunity and am really looking forward to working with the excellent staff at VA Butler Healthcare,” Hubscher said in a news release. “I am most excited to meet and work with our Veterans and their families. My top priority has always been and will always be the highest quality of care and service to our Veterans.”Hubscher began her career at VAPHS in 1998 as a social worker. As the Vice President of Community Based Care at VAPHS, she was responsible for all community care programs at VAPHS and acted as the social work executive. Her experiences also include Chief of the VA Mental Health Clinic in Grand Rapids, Mich. and manager of the Home and Community Care Line at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

“Ms. Hubscher brings with her a wealth of expertise and I am very pleased to have her join us at VA Butler Healthcare,” said John Gennaro, VA Butler Healthcare Director. “Her strong leadership skills and proven experience will be valuable assets for our facility, employees, volunteers, and most importantly, the Veterans we are honored to serve.”
Hubscher received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology/Sociology from Carlow College. She obtained her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, and earned her master’s degree in Business Administration at Waynesburg College. Hubscher is also a recent graduate of the Executive Career Field Program.
