The raid began at 9AM this morning in Kittanning, Ford City, Elderton, and West Shamokin high schools, according to District Attorney Scott Andreassi.

The Kittanning Paper has reporters on the scene and there will be a complete report during the Noon News Report on WTYM AM 1380… your source for breaking news throughout the day.

Drug-sniffing canines were brought into all four high schools this morning as a sweep was conducted for drugs.

It’s widely known the principals are tipped off on these ahead of time. Bet you’ll never see a star jock get busted. And it’s not because they’re all drug free

So what happened? Just the usual disruption of the school day or a massive round up of suspects?

Funny, I hope the raids are productive… then again, I hope they find none. Sad they have to do this, tho.

No one in the district should be tipped off. No one! March in there with the dogs and do the job.

@ samkirk,You are absolutely right! Principals are tipped off and if you have connections you are tipped off also. These raids should not be told until minutes before they are done.@ mark I agree with you, I hope they find none also.
