OBIT: Mary Stefanik (Ford City)

Mary M. Stefanik, 95, of Ford City died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at ACMH.

Born September 11, 1916 in Ford City, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Blazek) Turicik.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of Christ, Prince of Peace Church in Ford City and the SOKOL.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Lawrence (Kay) Shedwick of Ford City; three grandchildren: Drew Shedwick, Andrea Maue and Ruth Bryant; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Tillie LeBold of Columbus, Ohio and Jennie Sims of Florida; and brother, William Turicik of Carlisle.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Shedwick; her second husband, John Stefanik; sister, Elizabeth Dietz; and brother, Steven Turicik.

At Mary’s request, visitation and services were held privately. Arrangements were entrusted to Welch Funeral Home in Ford City.
