State police troopers are asking public and other police assistance in locating two men who are accused of stealing money from a Dayton bank yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly after 3PM at the Marion Center Bank on West Main Street in Dayton Borough.

According to State Police, one of the men displayed a firearm while another stole an undisclosed amount of money from teller’s drawers. The actors then fled the area traveling westbound on Route 2010 on two red all-terrain vehicles (ATV’s).

No bank employees were injured in the incident.

Both actors are described as white males, wearing hooded sweatshirts, blue jeans and sunglasses.

9-1-1 dispatchers sent a radio transmission to local police agencies last night asking if they have had reports of the stolen vehicles.

State police troopers and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are working with the bank to obtain video surveillance photos.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the state police barracks in Kittanning at 724-543-2011.
