OBIT: Floyd E. Kirkpatrick (Rural Valley)
Floyd E. Kirkpatrick, 83 of Rural Valley, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home in Indiana, Pa.
He was born October 28, 1928 in Barnard (Cowanshannock Township), son of the late Robert Earl and Hazel (Coleman) Kirkpatrick.
Floyd was a U.S. Army veteran and formerly worked for Loudan Properties and was also a truck driver.
He was a member of American Legion Cosgrove Post 523- Rural Valley.
Surviving are his wife, Grace (Boyer) Kirkpatrick; three sons: Robert and Larry Kirkpatrick of Spokane, Wash. and David Kirkpatrick of Rural Valley; daughter Colleen Cornwell of Rose Valley, PA; sister, Lucille Brice of Spring Church, PA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Harold and Paul Kirkpatrick; and sister, Ruth Jean Snyder.
Private services were held. Arrangements were made by Carson/Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley.
Interment will follow in the Harkleroad Cemetery.
