OBIT: Delores J. Gillis (West Valley)

Delores Jean (McCanna) Gillis, 79, of West Valley, died on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Kittanning Care Center.

She was born on January 10, 1931 to Paul and Eva (Orton) McCanna. She attended the Mount Union Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Gillis of Kittanning; her daughter Sandy (and Harold) Schaeffer of Kittanning; her son Gary (and Sandy) Gillis from Kittanning; her brother Philip McCanna and wife Sue from New York; her sister Glady Lou Bozek and husband Adam from New York; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Friday, September 3, 2010 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the funeral service at 11AM on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Mt. Union Bible Church with Pastor Jack Peters officiating. Interment will take place in the Davis/Mount Union Cemetery.
