OBIT: Arthur Floyd “Butch” Adams (Templeton)

Arthur Floyd “Butch” Adams, 69, of Templeton, died August 31, 2010 at his residence.

Born May 20, 1941 in Templeton to the late Arthur Henry Adams and Marian Claire (Anderson) Adams, Arthur was employed in construction and retired from PennDOT.

A member of the Goheenville Presbyterian Church, Arthur was an avid outdoors man. He also was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved fishing and hunting, and truly enjoyed the outdoors. He was a great man and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Frances L. Adams; two daughters, Cindi Lemax of California and Tresa Uplinger of Reynoldsville; one son, Mitchum Adams of Brookville; three stepdaughters, Virginia Davis of Cowansville, Teressa Adams of Sarver, and Sharon Puz of Templeton; two stepsons, Blaine Toy, Jr. of Templeton and Frank Toy of Mossgrove; five sisters, Marian Louise Falcone, Kathleen Margaret Voigt, Luretta Claire (Marvin) Ray, Virginia Mae (John) Piscolish, and Bessie Luella (Jack) Bennett; four brothers, Alford Leroy (Deb), Thomas Layne (Sharon), Timothy Wayne (Mona), and Harvey (Ted) Duane (Bonnie); seventeen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Arthur was preceded in death by his mother and father; son, Arthur R. Adams; and daughter, Michele P. Adams.

Friends will be received from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM Thursday in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, and from 12 noon until the time of services which will be conducted by Reverend Ron Long of the Goheenville Presbyterian Church at 1PM Friday  in the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Mateer Cemetery.
