PUZ: NFL Hall of Fame

Sports Commentary by Chad Puz
Tomorrow seven players will be inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, Floyd Little, John Randle, Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, and Pittsburgh’s favorite defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau. Dick LeBeau finally will be recognized as the great player that he was when he played for the Detroit Lions from 1959 to 1972. LeBeau played cornerbackfor a record 171 straight games(an NFL record for cornerbacks), finished with 62 interceptions, went to three straight pro bowls from 1964-1966, and earned All-NFL second-team accolades four times(1964, 1965, 1965, and 1970). Not bad for a guy who was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round in 1959 and later cut by them. A lot of Steelers’ players and coaches will be there to see their legendary coach go into the Hall of Fame. I really suggest that you watch this Saturday at 7PM and pay tribute to all the members of the 2010 Hall of Fame Class.
