A one-vehicle accident occurred on Route 85, just east of the Stonehouse Road in Valley Township in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
State Police say that a 1978 black Dodge truck driven by David Patrick Seachrist, 25, of Rural Valley was traveling west on Route 85. As he began to go around a left hand curve in the roadway, he lost control as he traveled into the northbound lane and struck an embankment along the north side of Route 85. The vehicle then traveled another 100 feet along the north berm flipping onto its roof.
Seachrist was transported to ACMH Hospital, and then transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was listed last night in fair condition, a hospital spokesperson said.
It was found that at the time of the crash, Seachrist was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI. The investigation continues.
