OBIT: Donald W. Miller

Donald W. Miller, age 52, of Elderton, PA, died on April 23, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born on March 23, 1958, in Indiana, PA to Paul and Dolores (Shaffer) Miller. 

Don was the owner and operator of the Corner Convenience in Elderton.  He was a member of the Shelocta Sportsman’s Club and the Keystone Sportsman’s Club.  Don was a Pittsburgh Penguin’s Season Ticket holder and he also enjoyed baseball, basketball and football.  He loved to go to the beach with his family.  His favorite thing to do was to play with his best friend, his son Brice, on a daily basis and to spoil his wife Patty. 

Don is survived by his loving wife Patty of Elderton whom he married on July 2, 1999; one son Brice Miller who lives at home and the beloved stepfather to sons Nicholas Clawson of Cabot, PA and Douglas Clawson and his wife Ashley of Houston, TX; two sisters, Charlene Miller of Shelocta and Lanette Klonowski and husband Chris of Elderton, PA; an expected granddaughter in May 2010; a niece and nephew, Kaely and Jaden Klonowski;   and his in-laws, the Pritt family.

Don was preceded in death by his parents. 

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be held at 10 AM on Monday, April 26, 2010, at the Christ Lutheran Church, 205 Gastown Road, Shelocta, until the time of funeral service at 11 AM with the Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers and Reverend Ken Rea co-officiating.

Interment will follow in Elderton Cemetery, Armstrong Co., PA.
