MARKILINSKI: “Little Billy”

“Little Billy”

Until a child tells you what they are thinking, we can’t even begin to imagine how their mind is working…..

Little Billy was doing very badly in Math. His parents had tried everything… tutors, mentors, flash cards, even special learning centers. In short, everything they could think of to help his math.

Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took Little Billy down and enrolled him in the local Catholic school. After the first day, Little Billy came home with a very serious look on his face. He did not even kiss his mother hello. Instead he went straight to his room and started studying.

Books and paper were spread all over the room and Little Billy was hard at work. His mother was amazed. She called him down to dinner.

To her shock, the minute he was done, he marched back to his room without a word and in no time, he was back hitting the books as hard as before.

This went on for some time, day after day, while the mother tried to understand what made all the difference.

Finally, Little Billy brought home his report card. He quietly laid it on the table, went up to his room and hit the books. With great trepidation, his mom looked at it and to her great surprise, Little Billy got an “A” in math.

She could no longer hold her curiosity. She went to Little Billy’s room and said, “Son, what was it? Was it the nuns?”

Little Billy looked at her and shook his head, no.

“Well then,” she replied, was it the books, the discipline, the structure, the uniforms? WHAT WAS IT?

Little Billy looked at her and said, “Well, on the first day of school when I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren’t fooling around.”

Just think about it.

Well how refreshing. Our School Director tells a very old joke, and very badly. What was the point? More directly, he should be giving us his 3-5 year plan for the district, and he should be telling us how the district will deal with the huge pension increases coming. Will our taxes go up 20 percent? What cost savings will he propose?

So you paid for space in this paper to print a stupid joke? Is there no limit to your ignorance?

  • By sweetleur, March 26, 2010 @ 9:45 AM

A joke that has been on the internet for a while..

Instead of paying for a stupid joke next time you could put in a retraction for your ignorant rants about Lenape Vo-Tech.
For anyone who hasn’t seen it, look at today’s Leader-Times.
The Department of Education gave the Vo-Tech an excellent review. I believe the phrase was “one of the best combined academic and technical schools in the state.”
I’m sure the Dept of Education isn’t nearly as qualified or intelligent as you…
With each and every accusation and rant you show everyone just how little you truly know.
A decent and honorable person would apologize to Dawn Kocher Taylor..Of course you being you, never will.

This was clearly copied from the web. In fact, I found the same exact story mentioned above, except the name was changed from “Little Zachary” to “Little Billy.”

Hopefully no one was not paid to plagiarise this article.

Markilinski, the children are telling you what they are thinking. The transfers are load and clear. They do not want Elederton open and the do not want to go back to school there! It is time you and Elder-Solak listened.

So does this mean that MJM is in favor of abolition of Public Education?
