OBIT: Fred A. McNabb

Fred A. McNabb, 60, formerly of Marienville, died on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Aspinwall Veterans Administration Hospital.

He was born on November 18, 1949 in Kittanning to Edward and Amy (Winn) McNabb.

He was a former factory worker. He served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church, the American Legion in Kittanning, and the VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking.

He is survived by his daughter, Mindy Hockenberry of Templeton; a son Fred A. Marrapode of Kittanning; three brothers: Harvey McNabb (and wife Judy) of Worthington, Edward McNabb of Albion, PA, and Charles McNabb (and wife Lou) of McGrann; five sisters: Betty Miller of Erie, Linda Taylor (and husband Les) of Tionesta, June Wygant (and husband Eric) of Erie, and Amy Elsesser of Walkchalk; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
