"Dot" Lasher

Dorothea “Dot” Eileen Lasher, age 85, of Kittanning, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Armstrong County Health Center.

She was born on August 1, 1924 in Kittanning, PA to Joseph and Ruth L. Walter Mechling.

She was a member of Salem Baptist Church of Walkchalk. Also she had an association with the Kittanning Eagles, Kittanning Elks Lodge and was a member of  a card club that met at Kings Restaurant.  Dot enjoyed playing cards, gambling, cooking and loved her family and her many friends. She also was formerly employed at Moonlight Mushrooms for 16 years.

She is survived by her son Michael J. Lasher and his wife Marie N. Lasher of Kittanning and one sister Jeanne Wray of Kittanning and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kenneth Lasher who died on August 31, 1975 and they were married on June 25, 1949.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday February 9, 2010 and 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning where funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steven L. Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow at Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, PA.
