OBIT: Anna R. Snyder
Anna R. Snyder, 90, of East Brady, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 21, 1919, she was a daughter of Ludwig and Anna (Frieters) Rottman and spent her life as a homemaker.
Anna was a member of St. Paul’s Community Church, the Order of the Eastern Star in East Brady, the Democratic Club, and TOPS Club. She enjoyed playing cards, working with crafts, and spending time with grandchildren and friends, in addition to always cooking Sunday meals for her family.
She is survived by two sons: Ludwig Samuel Snyder and wife Judy of Maulding, SC, and John Snyder and wife Nancy of Butler; two daughters: Audrey Jackson and husband Carl of Chicora, Carol Best and husband Jack of Callensburg; a daughter-in-law Ruth Snyder of New Bethlehem; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the parents; her husband Russell Snyder; her son Russell Snyder, Jr.; her great-granddaughter Jessica Fair; a son-in-law Edward Eisenhuth; daughter-in-law Linda Snyder; three brothers: Karl, Ludwig, and Henry Rottman; and one sister: Sophie Barger.
Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, and 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville. There will be an additional hour of visitation beginning at 10AM Thursday until the time of the funeral service at 11AM at St. Paul’s Community Church. The church pastor, Reverend Randall Forester, will officiate the service. Interment will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
